day three.

Today we didn't get to do that much. We got to sleep in until about ten. We got to Rift Valley Academy (RVA) around 10:30am. RVA is the boarding school for the missionaries located in Africa's children. They come from all over the world. We took suitcases full of supplies for the kids there since they can't get a lot of the supplies they used to could get in America. Mine and Magan's suitcases couldn't be used there because we only brought stuff mainly for babies and children, so we get to choose where our supplies goes! After we did that, it was chai time for the students. Chai time is so cool... and the chai is free too. We got to drink chai in the staff's lounge, and then Chris (on core team) gave us a tour of RVA since he went there his whole life.

After RVA, we went to this place called the Duka's, which are these market shops, and there is also a store kinda like a convenient store there. I bought some bracelets there. Then we all went to this restaurant called Mama Chikus. It was 300 shillings each person for our whole meal, including a tip. Which is about $3 in American money. We got family style food, and I got a coke too.

After Mama Chiku's, we didn't really do anything else the rest of the day. We had African lasagna for supper.. minus the noodles and add zucchini.... but it was pretty good! I also found out I love banana bread tonight.
